Add: Canadian history One of the first kennels to sell British Golden retrievers was Northlands in Warren, Ontario. The owner, Louis Baker started importing the British Golden in 1957 and his daughter-in-law, Jutta Baker started showing the Northland Goldens at the Sportsman's Show in Toronto where she won best of breed in consecutive years as the only Golden in the show. <ref: personal history author Peter Baker> 142.126.134.139 (talk) 20:21, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. This needs to be covered in reliable secondary sources to demonstrate that it is WP:DUE and actually happened. We're unable to accept personal anecdotes as reliable sources. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 20:35, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
- Ask the Diefenbaker foundation as to where the Prime Minister acquired his Golden. None of what has been provided can be disproved as all is factual to which I am willing to sign any affidavit from any jurisdiction. Greenstrider (talk) 20:24, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
Former or former
[edit]Question for Rusalkii and others, Re the bit in Health about one in five for the former and one in eight for the former, I suspect one of those two should be latter, but which? ϢereSpielChequers 13:16, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
- Goodness, looking at that edit that was not my best writing, I doubled sone words in the sentence too. Good catch! It should be in the sources but I can't look now, I'm on my phone. I'll try to remember to get back to this but I haven't been very active lately, my own dog's been taking up a lot of my time. Rusalkii (talk) 07:04, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks Rusalki, if your dog doesn't mind lending you back to Wikipedia for a while I suspect it just needs one former being replaced with a latter. I think this is the beauty of collaborative editing, we all make mistakes that we are blind to and we need others to pick up. ϢereSpielChequers 08:41, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
- Looks like someone else got there first, I was just checking in on this. My dog is of the opinion that typing on my computer is definitely not petting him, which is deeply suspect, but fortunately he has several human's hands available so I am occasionally released. Canadian History: In 1955, Louis Baker started the first Canadian kennel dedicated to Golden Retrievers which he called Northlands as it was located in Warren, Ontario between Sudbury and North Bay. Mr. Baker's daughter-in-law, Jutta Baker entered Northland dogs in the Canadian Sportsman's Show in the late 1950s and won several Best of Breed awards as there were no other Goldens in the show. - Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. - FlightTime (open channel) 20:15, 29 July 2023 (UTC)

Instead of "Scottish breed of retriever dog of medium size," Scottish retriever is a dog breed of medium size. Quissie (talk) 14:19, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- You want 'Scottish retriever is a dog breed of medium size' to be in the introduction? Traumnovelle (talk) 18:37, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- Not done: I'm afraid I have to disagree with this. Merely searching
"Scottish retriever"
seems to prove minimal relevant results. (Google) I can't say this dog is often referred to as the "Scottish retriever". However, it is a dog breed of Scottish origin. So, to me, the current introduction is fine. Consider WP:CON?
